Cosmogamy

Co-Founder & Managing Editor, Texas A&M University (in development 2016)

Collaborating with creative writing and literary studies faculty in the Department of English and the curator of the Science Fiction and Fantasy Research Collection at Texas A&M University’s Cushing Library to build a new open source digital journal for the department. The journal will be one of the first to launch on the Vega Academic Publishing System.  This journal is also being built with a student intern and recipient of an Undergraduate Professional and Research Experience Program (UPREP) grant.

Cosmogamy: Science Fiction and Fantasy Creations is an interdisciplinary journal that features works of and about science fiction and fantasy. Our choice of prefix indicates our interest in receiving art and essays from any dimension that challenges and defies consensus reality: the inner dimensions of horror and the surreal, the parallel realms of fairy tale and fantasy, the intergalactic worlds of science fiction, or any other cosmos. Our purpose is to make contact: to unite fans and readers with scholars, writers and experts, showcasing the finest contemporary digital media and visual art, podcast and film scripts, poetry and archival research, fiction and literary criticism in the field.
